    Flag of the
    Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR)
    This button was
    designed and made in 1985, six years
    before the USSR collapsed. The disintegration of the
    Soviet Union began in the second half of the 1980's.
    This button was produced to be used as a item to be
    carried into the Soviet Union by tourists and travelers.
    They were traded for Soviet pins and badges by hundreds
    of travelers and were eagerly received by citizens of
    the Soviet Union as a treasured piece of history
