    JUSTICE
    This is a metal litho pinback button that
    was made for Cesar Chavez and the
    United Farm Workers in 1965.  It was
    based on Cesar Chavez's famous quote:
    “We shall strike. We shall organize boycotts.
    We shall demonstrate and have political campaigns.
    We shall pursue the revolution we have proposed.
    We are sons and daughters of the farm workers’ revolution,
    a revolution of the poor seeking
    bread and justice
    .”
    The slogan and the button was used by Farmworkers and
    later by Civil Rights Movement Organizations.  In fact, one
    of these
    buttons is on display in the collection of the
    SMITHSONIAN
    NATIONAL MUSEUM OF
    AFRICAN-AMERICAN
